About Al Moore

Owner and lead developer of Rocky Mountain Networks. Responsible for all aspects of development projects including sales, contract negotiation, project management, architecture, and development.

  • Design and develop custom portal framework to host line-of-business web applications with ASP.NET using web services as middle tier, and SQL Server database on the backend
  • Knowledge of ASP.NET architecture and advanced concepts including HTTP Handlers, HTTP Modules, custom control development, authentication, security, caching, configuration, personalization, and user controls
  • Working knowledge of AJAX and module processing instructions
  • Strong working knowledge of Regular Expressions and information data parsing and pattern matching
  • Working knowledge of MS SQL Report Server 2005 and Report Pages and RDL
  • Browser compatibility knowledge on Windows and Mac operating systems running current web browsers in the areas of HTML, DHTML and JavaScript
  • Very familiar with the Enterprise Library and all of its components
  • Working knowledge of the Composite UI Application Block (CAB) and its associated patterns
  • Familiar with most .NET Namespaces including: Data, Runtime, Web, XML, IO, Serialization
  • Enabled communication between application tiers through interfaces using SOAP and SOAP headers
  • Architected XML Web Services to enable platform and application communication in scenarios with simple and complex results to be consumed by .NET and Smart Client applications or serialized and deserialized objects
  • Implemented custom data access components as Windows Services to provide ASynchronous data and object access
  • Use of stored procedures to protect data integrity through permissions and table abstraction while increasing application speed
  • Working knowledge of the Composite UI Application Block (CAB) and its associated patterns
  • Working knowledge of the Smart Client and its associated patterns and practices
  • Working Experience using Windows Forms in Visual Studio 2005 and .NET Framework 2.0
  • Strong skills developing and debugging Windows Forms, Web Services, Class Libraries, and Web Applications using Visual Studio and other tools and utilities
